A Cat Lover's Paradise
Known as Tokyo's beloved "Cat Town," Yanaka Ginza is a paradise for feline enthusiasts. Discover charming cat-themed gift shops, seven lucky wooden cat statues hidden throughout the shopping street Magical Trip (find them all for good fortune!), a sculpture museum featuring cat art, and cozy cat cafes. You can even try painting your own lucky cat (maneki-neko) at Cafe Nekoemon while enjoying traditional refreshments.
A Street Food Adventure Through Old Tokyo
Stroll through this nostalgic shopping district and savor an incredible variety of local treats! From savory delights like crispy menchi-katsu (beef croquettes) and fresh takoyaki, to sweet indulgences including exquisite Mont Blanc desserts and fresh-baked apple pie. Don't miss the famous cat tail-shaped donuts at Yanaka Shippoya — they're as delicious as they are Instagram-worthy!
Explore the Historic Yanesen Area
The tour extends beyond Yanaka Ginza to showcase the treasures of the Yanesen neighborhood (Yanaka, Nezu, and Sendagi). We'll visit the stunning Nezu Shrine with its iconic rows of vermillion torii gates, and I'll share personalized recommendations for other hidden gems in the area based on your interests — whether you're drawn to temples, traditional crafts, or scenic photo spots!
