Guide information
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
I’m a Muslim Japanese working for a travel agency and living in Tokyo. I'd like to begin to a mosque tour and guide you to the unexplored Muslim community in Japan.
Plan points
Makky Masjid
It's located a 10-minute walk from Ohanajaya Station. The mosque was moved from Narimasu in the 1990s. It is the Tokyo base of the Islamic movement "Tabligi Jamiaat", which has the largest number of participants, 100 million people, in the world. This movement in Japan began in the 1950s.
Kinshicho Mosque
A mosque a 3-minute walk from Kinshicho Station. I might be able to serve tea and sweets.
A Muslim community in the area, mainly Bangladeshis, has been renting this place for about five years. Currently, they plan to acquire land around the station and build a full-fledged mosque.
Nishikasai Masjid
The mosque was rebuilt and opened in March this year. It is the center of the Muslim community in Western Kasai called Little India.
